Can I change cabinet details after design approval?

Published September 7, 20261 min readBy LOBIN Knowledge Team · Cabinet supply and project coordinationReviewed by LOBIN Project Review · Commercial and production review

Changes can be reviewed before production release. After Design Lock or production release, they may require a revised quotation and schedule, and some changes may no longer be possible.

In this topic: Measurements, drawings, Design Lock, production release and change control.

Before production release

Tell the LOBIN project team as soon as a dimension, material, colour, hardware choice or layout needs to change. The team can review its effect on drawings, pricing, manufacturing and timing before issuing a revised version.

After Design Lock

Once drawings, materials, hardware, scope and payment milestones are approved, later requests are treated as scope changes. They may require new drawings, additional fees, revised delivery timing or a replacement quotation.

After production release

Production follows the latest approved drawing. Changes are not supported after production release unless LOBIN confirms in writing that the affected parts have not entered production and a formal change can still be accepted. Never rely on a chat message alone to replace a signed production document.

The written quotation and approved drawing control the final decision.
