What must be confirmed before cabinet production starts?

Published September 7, 20261 min readBy LOBIN Knowledge Team · Cabinet supply and project coordinationReviewed by LOBIN Project Review · Commercial and production review

Production starts after the latest production drawing, materials, hardware, scope and payment are confirmed and LOBIN releases the order.

In this topic: Measurements, drawings, Design Lock, production release and change control.

Production release checklist

Before production, the project must have a clear written scope and an approved latest production drawing. The client or authorized partner should confirm the cabinet dimensions, layout, door direction, materials, colours, edge banding, visible finishes, hardware, add-ons and delivery boundary.

LOBIN also verifies that the required payment has cleared and that the latest production drawing has been hand-signed and uploaded as a PDF where the quotation requires it. The order starts only after LOBIN issues the production release.

This confirmation stage is the Design Lock. It prevents older drawings or informal chat revisions from being treated as the production instruction. Customer-supplied dimensions remain the customer responsibility unless expressly verified by LOBIN.

Review the order process before signing the final drawing.
